The BioMap team is componed of 7people:

The Project Manager, Dr. Paul Salaman, instigated the project and is a Research Fellow at both CI-CABS and NHM for BIOMAP. He graduated from the University of Oxford earlier in 2001 and has over a decade of ornithological research in Colombia.

Colombian Coordinator, Loreta Rosselli has a BSc from Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá, and MSc in avian ecology from Costa RicaUniversity. She is founding member of theBogotá Ornithological Association (ABO) and Colombian Ornithological Association (ACO), and sits on the board for both organisations. Loreta has 10 years of ornithological research experience in Colombia.

Colombian Cataloguers are, Diana Arzuza, has a BSc from Atlantic University in Barranquilla. She is the founder and President of Atlantic Ornithology Foundation?ORNIAT and coordinated investigations in the Caribbean region of Colombia for the past 4 years y, Andrea Morales, has a BSc from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and is a member of ABO. She has coordinated education and environmental protection projects for birds in recent years.

Two Darwin Fellows (US cataloguers & MSc students at King’s College, London): Juan Carlos Verhelst, has a BSc from Los Andes University, is a member of both Antioquia (SAO) and Caldas (SCO) Ornithology Societies and has been conducting ornithological research for 7 years, particularly on the birds of shade-coffee and forest remnants and Clara Isabel Bohórquez has a BSc from the National University of Colombia and worked in ornithological research in Arizona (University of Montana) and throughout Colombia for over seven years and various publications.

The English Ornithologists Nigel Cleere, autor of “Nightjars” book and numerous scientific publications, is BioMap’s European Cataloguer during 2003.
